AdeltaThe reason why Adelta joined the world of furniture is that it wants to realize unique ideas and make them accessible for everybody. Because of that Eliel Saarinen started to design furniture like “Hannes Chair” or “White Chair” in the early days of the last century. Due to their polarisation “Hannes Chair” and “White Chair” outlast the course of time and we can still find them in various places. Adelta established itself with products like “Ball Chair”, “Pastil” or “Tomato Chair”, each of them was designed by the Finnish Designer Eero Aarnio, and fascinate with their simplicity. They can even be used for inside and outside activities. In the year 1968 Eero Aarnio got the American Industrial Award for his “Pastil Chair”. Even the New York Times praised Adelta for its products “Pastil Chair” and “Ball Chair” by describing these two design pieces as “the most comfortable forms to hold up the human body”. Another interesting fact is that the diameter of “Pastil Chair” is identical with the diameter of “Ball Chair” and of course this is not a coincidence because it was Eero Aarnio’s idea to create a piece of furniture that fills the big, upholstered emptiness of Ball Chair. If you use “Pastil Chair” for swimming in the sea or sliding down a snowy hill – “Pastil Chair” will never leave you in the lurch. The follower of “Pastil Chair” also puzzles with its interesting form. Made of three balls that have the same diameter and another hemisphere which provides the backrest “Tomato Chair” guarantees a comfortable seating experience. The famousness of these products caused other furniture producer to create forgeries for example of “Ball Chair” that cannot be compared to the original products of Adelta because they are made of poor quality.
